We have added 9 new books to our collection this month and we would like to share them with you.
In our fiction section we have added Run Rose, Run by Tennessee's own, Dolly Parton. Written in collaboration with James Patterson, this book is a thriller about a young up and coming singer/song-writer who comes to Nashville to live her dream. Can she overcome her hardships and her past to find success in the highly competitive country music industry? Read this book to find out.
Our other fiction additions are Shadow's Reel by C.J. Box, The Lady's Mine by Francine Rivers, and The Love of My Life by Rosie Walsh. You can find a synopsis on each of these books in our online catalog.
In our non-fiction section we have added Practical Bee-keeping by Frank Richard and the Black & Decker Complete Guide to Wiring with current 2020-2023 electrical codes. We have also added The Gates of Europe: A History of Ukraine by Serhii Plothy.
We have added two new books to our young adult section. The first is I Must Betray You by award-winning author Ruta Sepetys. This book, just published in February of this year, has already garnered over four-thousand 5-star reviews on goodreads. It is the story of a seventeen year old boy in 1989 communist Romania that is blackmailed by the secret police to become an informer. He risks everything to expose the truth of what is happening to his country and to fight for change.
The second young adult book we would like to share with you is Ain't Burned All the Bright by Jason Reynolds. This book is beautiful. With 300 pages of art by Jason Griffin, and very little text, this is the story of the 2020 covid-19 lock downs and the killing of George Floyd through the eyes of a black teenage boy.
We purchase new books for our library monthly, but we also add gently used, newer donated books as well. If you go to our catalog page you will see our newest additions moving across the screen at the bottom. We are always adding new books, DVDs, and resource materials to our collection. We hope you are pleased with our new selections and hope to see you soon here at White Bluff's Jennie Woodworth Library.
